Former Sampdoria defender Milan Skriniar has completed his move to Inter on a five-year contract.
The 22-year-old Slovakia international sealed his move to the San Siro with Gianluca Caprari already having completed his move going in the opposite direction to Sampdoria.
The Nerazzurri are reportedly to pay €20m (£17.6m) in addition to Caprari for the defender which would make him the most expensive Slovakian footballer in history, overtaking former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.
The defender has previously admitted he had received offers from the Premier League, with West Bromwich Albion linked to his services according to the Daily Mail.
Skriniar has developed into a fine defender in a relative short space of time as he only joined La Samp from MSK Zilina in January 2016 and has gone on to make 38 appearances in the top flight of Italian football for the club – including 35 in the 2016/17 season.
Calm, composed and authoritative at the back, he averaged seven defensive actions per game, won 56% of the headed duels and also demonstrated that he is comfortable in possession as he completed 92% of his attempted passes.
The 22-year-old was recently named in the UEFA Team of the Tournament at the European under-21 championships this summer.
