Kante expects Lacazette to be a ‘good addition’ to Arsenal’s attack

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante believes Alexandre Lacazette will be a “good addition” for Arsenal.
Lacazette recently completed a club-record transfer from boyhood club Lyon, reportedly for an initial payment of £46.5 million, rising to £52 million if certain add-ons are met.
Kante, the current PFA Players’ Player of the Year, feels his compatriot – who he’s faced before in Ligue 1 – will thrive under Arsene Wenger and expects him to enjoy a prolific first season in the Premier League.
“I know him from the national team and from what he did in the French league,” he said, as reported by the Evening Standard. “He is a very good player.
“He has scored more than 20 goals every season for the last few seasons in Ligue 1. He is a good player and a good addition for Arsenal.
“He’s a goalscorer, clever with the ball and when he has a chance he has a gift for finishing well. He will be a good addition for Arsenal.”

A graduate of Lyon’s academy, Lacazette leaves the southern French club having made 275 appearances in total, netting 129 goals and creating a further 43.
Lacazette was the second-top scorer in Ligue 1 last season, with 28 goals, and in the process attracted interest from Atletico Madrid – whom he was close to joining before their transfer ban was upheld.
In the end it’s Arsenal who’ll benefit from his services going forward as Wenger aims to end a 14-year title drought as well as returning Champions League football to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal, who are unbeaten in their last five Premier League matches, begin the 2017/18 season at home to Leicester City on 11th August before travelling to Stoke City and Liverpool that same month.
