Barcelona forward Neymar admits it would be complicated to think about football without Lionel Messi.
The Argentine superstar, whose previous contract was due to expire next summer, is set to commit his future to the Camp Nou giants next week when he puts pen-to-paper on a brand new deal which is expected to keep him at the club until 2021.
Such news has been greeted with delight from many connected with the La Liga outfit, in particular Neymar – who expressed his happiness at the fact that the 30-year-old is on course to finish his career with Barca.
“I’m very happy to have the best in the world with us,” he said, as reported Goal.
“It’s complicated to think about football without him.”

Messi enjoyed yet another impressive season with Barcelona as he finished as the club’s leading scorer with 54 goals in 52 games across all competitions – ending the campaign with a Copa Del Rey winner’s medal.
He was also the leading marksman in La Liga with 37 goals and notched his landmark 500th goal in Blaugrana colours as he netted a brace in the El Clasico against Real Madrid back in April – including a last gasp winner at the Santiago Bernabeu.
