Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti would ‘200%’ fit in at Barcelona – Xavi
Xavi has once again tipped Marco Verratti for his old club Barcelona, dubbing him as one of the world’s three best centre-midfielders and described him as “the ideal player” for his old side.
Verratti has been heavily linked with a move to the Catalan giants this summer and his agent added fuel to the fire by attacking current team PSG for not considering letting him leave for Barcelona.
The midfielder publicly distanced himself from these remarks and issued an apology to the French side, commiting hmself to the Paris team.
However Xavi has now reopened the discussion about Verratti potentially moving to the Nou Camp by suggesting he would absolutely fit into the way Barcelona play.
And the legendary Spaniard would like to see his former side sign the 24-year-old.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo Xavi said: “He is the ideal player for Barca. I would sign him. He would 200% fit into Barcelona, a great player and one of the three best in the world in his position.”
It’s not the first time Xavi has hailed Verratti with the midfielder previously saying that the PSG player has “Barcelona DNA“, and also describing the player as the club’s “ideal” signing.
